Pz.Sf.V Sturer Emil Heavy Tank Destroyer Plastic Model

Photos show a plastic model of the German Pz.Sf.V Sturer Emil anti-tank gun. The model was built to a 1:35 scale from a Trumpeter kit. Photo-etched parts from Aber and metal tracks from Friulmodel were used to enhance it.

Only two prototypes of this gun were built. Both took part in the fighting on the Eastern Front of World War II and proved to be very useful. However, the Pz.Sf.V anti-tank gun was not entered into mass production.

One of the prototypes was destroyed in combat. The second, who had 22 hits, was captured by the Russians. Currently, it is in the Kubinka Tank Museum. The photos probably show the model of the surviving gun, as there are 22 white rings painted on his barrel.
